Harry Potter Hagrid’s Umbrella Elastic Bookmark

We don't really see Hagrid perform too much magic in the Harry Potter series but his pink umbrella is a notable and unique item. As a child Hagrid concealed the pieces of his broken wand after he was expelled from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Despite his expulsion and the destruction of his wand, Albus Dumbledore allowed Hagrid to keep the shards of his wand hidden inside a pink umbrella, as they still retained a significant portion of the wand's original power.

Hagrid uses his umbrella to perform magic, although his spells are often imperfect due to his lack of formal magical training. Some notable instances include conjuring fire in the fireplace at the Hut-on-the-Rock and making a rowboat move faster. However, there are also examples of unsuccessful magic, such as when he attempted to transfigure Dudley Dursley into a pig but only managed to give him a pig's tail.

The umbrella is a symbol of Hagrid's resilience and resourcefulness, allowing him to continue practicing magic despite the limitations imposed on him by his expulsion.
